Privacy policy

Exovio is a design and development studio in Nagpur, India, run as a sole proprietorship by Rahulkumar Pal. In this policy, “Exovio”, “we” and “us” mean Rahulkumar Pal, trading as Exovio. We decide why and how your personal data is used, which makes us responsible for it.

This policy covers this website and the enquiries you send us through it or by email. It is published under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its duties come into force.

When you send a project brief, we receive what you type into it:

• your name and email address;
• your company or project name, if you give one;
• the service, timeline and budget range you pick;
• your message, and anything you choose to tell us in it.

If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever the email contains.

When any page loads, our hosting provider records technical details of the request, such as your IP address, your browser and the page asked for, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Your browser also fetches the site’s typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in doing so.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data: passwords, bank or card details, health information, sexual orientation or biometric data. Please do not include any of it in a message.

We use what you send for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to scope, quote and deliver the project.

• We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your data.
• We do not use it for advertising, profiling or automated decisions.

By sending a brief, you consent to this use. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights” below).

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. There is nothing to accept or reject, which is why there is no cookie banner.

If that ever changes, we will update this policy first, and ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the site to work.

Your data passes through three service providers, each only to do the job listed here:

Hosts the website and runs the form that receives your brief

Resend

Delivers your brief to our inbox as an email

Google LLC

Hosts our inbox (Gmail) and serves the site’s typefaces (Google Fonts)

Beyond them, we disclose your data only when Indian law requires it, for example on a court order or a lawful request from a government agency. We never otherwise share it without your permission.

All three providers process and store data on servers outside India, mainly in the United States. We send it there only because answering your enquiry requires it, and by sending a brief you consent to that transfer.

• Enquiries that do not become a project: deleted within 12 months of our last exchange.
• Client projects: kept for the length of the project, then for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep business records.
• Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted automatically.

If you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your data, we delete it sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Every page and every form is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS, with HSTS). The form checks what it receives on our server, and your brief is sent on to our inbox over encrypted connections. Only the people working on your enquiry can read it.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you without delay and report it to the authorities as Indian law requires.

You can ask us, at any time:

• for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, what we have done with it, and who we have shared it with;
• to correct, complete or update it;
• to delete it;
• to withdraw your consent. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it: one email is enough. It does not undo what we did before, though we may not be able to continue a project without the data;
• to nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity.

Write to our Grievance Officer (below). We resolve every request within one month. Once the Data Protection Board of India is functioning, you may complain to it if you are not satisfied with our answer.

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we do not track or target anyone. If we learn that a child has sent us their data, we delete it.

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. We will not use data you have already sent us for a new purpose without asking you first.
